Welcome to my Blog.
This section will contain News and Events, New Product Announcements, Product Reviews and links to other stuff of interest to the Woodworker, Tool Collector/Restorer and anyone interested in Planes and Sharpening.
In the past I have added items of interest to the Front Page, this new Blog will neaten that up leaving a simple Headline with suggestion to go to the Blog for the full story (maybe a link).
This is all new to me but I understand that visitors to this Blog are able to post comments - please feel free to do so.

Sharpening Station/Bench
Hi Jim,
Was good to see you at the Melb show, haven't had a chance to try out all my new toys yet but the woodriver block plane was used this week on an urgent job and it works brilliantly, thanks for all your products and helpful advice. Can't wait to set up my sharpening kit and try out the new Cosmon blade and waterstones.
Just wondering if anyone reading this would have any photos of their sharpening setups? I need something ready to use so I don't put off sharpening but also needs to be compact and easy to pack away when not in use. Not sure if people can post images on here but even a link to a blog or forum would be great. Always good to see what others use before trying to build my own.
Thanks again for offering a great product range and advice to woodworkers looking to improve their sharpening skills.

Pricing
Jim,
Noticed a big price drop on diamond plates - The exchange rate would be driving this. I recall 5 years ago a duosharp on special was $115 - now $89.

The regular price on the 8"/200mm DuoSharp Plus was $140 but has dropped to $89 due to the strong Aussie Dollar.
Note that this is the DuoSharp Plus with the small area of continuous diamond at one end, not the DuoSharp with Swath Pockets over the entire plate - I'm not sure why but these are a little more expensive.
